- Chief Stewardess Opportunity – 42m Private/Charter Motor Yacht (Mediterranean)
We are seeking an experienced Chief Stewardess for a 42m motor yacht based in the Mediterranean. This position is currently seasonal, with potential for extension into a dual-season role, as the owner has expressed interest in winter cruising. If the role remains single-season, a winter retainer can be negotiated, which has been successfully implemented in previous years.
This fast-paced role is ideal for a Chief Stewardess with a background in hospitality and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience on 30m+ motor yachts. We are looking for someone who is eager to continue their career in the industry.
The interior is well-equipped for both charter and owner use, supported by a team of three stewardesses within a crew of ten. The yacht primarily caters to generational families, with the owners utilizing the vessel for family time.
The yacht will undergo an interior refresh, including extensions and renewal of soft furnishings. The ability to work seamlessly with contractors and heads of departments is essential for the successful completion of this project.
Qualifications:- STCW95
- Medical ENG1
- Food Safety & Hygiene
- WSET 2 ( or equivalent knowledge)
- Full driving license
Key Responsibilities:- Hands-on position - Must be a good all-rounder in the interior with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must have strong leadership and mentoring skills; inter-team of 4 including Chief Stewardess
- Will be working one-on-one with the chef, must have clear communication skills, time management and good culinary knowledge.
- Must be proactive, outgoing and have a positive attitude.
- Experienced in wine, mixology of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Experienced in Housekeeping, Laundry and Service of different styles.
- Have the ability to train and mentor junior crew.
- Work professionally and seamlessly with heads of departments
- General Account/ general computer competency
- Good time management and organization
- Good product knowledge and experienced in working with provision companies within cruising areas
